Interested in joining the Disney affiliate program and get paid as a blogger or influencer? "The Walt Disney Company" is one of the largest brands in the world, comprising of many beloved movies and theme parks such as Disneyland and Disney World, according to Wikipedia. In this article, I'll be sharing my personal experience by reviewing this affiliate program. I will share info on how to sign up, what products and brands they offer, commission rates, and more.

Does Disney have an affiliate program? Is it free to join?

Yes, the official Disney affiliate program is hosted on the Commission Junction Network (CJ Affiliates). You will need a Commission Junction account first in order to apply.

There are individual programs for the following:

  • shopDisney online store

  • Disney+ streaming service

  • Walt Disney Travel Company (only available in UK and Ireland)

It is 100% legit and completely free to join.

There is more information about their program on the Disney website as well.

How much does the Disney affiliate program pay in commission rate?

The Disney affiliate program pays a 2% commission rate on all qualifying sales. Affiliate links have a 30-day cookie window. This means that if someone clicks your affiliate link and makes a valid purchase within 30 days from click (depending on the link), you will earn up to 2% commission on that sale.

What are the requirements to get approved as a Disney affiliate?

Since the Disney affiliate program is on the CJ Affiliates network, you will first need to get approved into CJ Affiliates before you can even apply to the individual program.

You will need a live, functioning website with a custom domain in order to get approved into the CJ Affiliates network. Here is who they typically work with:

  • Bloggers (especially in the Travel or Disney niche)

  • Social Media Influencers (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok)

  • Content Creators

  • Media

  • Editorial publications

Once you get a Commission Junction account, you can search up "Disney" within the Advertiser directory and then click "Apply Now" to send in an application.

To increase your chances of getting approved, I recommend having a professional website/blog in a relevant niche. In this case, that would be travel.

My personal experience and thoughts on the Disney affiliate program

As an affiliate with over 10 years of industry experience, here are my thoughts on Disney.

Disney is truly a magical company and global brand, with a rich history of movies, theme parks, and merchandise.

It is great to see that there are multiple Disney-related affiliate programs, covering shopDisney, Disney+, and even Walt Disney Travel Company.

The 2% commission and 30-day window is about average for the category.

It's a shame that the Walt Disney Travel Company program isn't available in the US, as that commission can be close to $180 if you are able to sell an entire package.

Even just tickets could earn about $50 in commission, which is high-ticket.

Either way, if you want to promote Disney, and there are quite a few Disney-related blogs, there is opportunities to monetize here.

I've written about many other travel affiliate programs below, and I highly recommend you check those out next!
