According to Forbes, Chewy.com is an "Ecommerce leader in pet supply".
Aside from Petco and PetSmart, Chewy is one of the most popular brands when it comes to pet supplies and products.
One distinct advantage, in my opinion, is a clear focus on ecommerce and online shopping.

My personal thoughts and experience with Pet affiliate marketing
Having now been a professional affiliate marketer for over 10 years, having generated over 7-figures in commissions, the Pet niche is an intriguing one to me.
First off, the annual expenditure over $100 Billion spent on pets clearly makes this a big market.
Although not as huge as the trillion-dollar industries like Health and Wellness, Pets is certainly one of the most popular affiliate niches for bloggers.
An opportunity that I currently see for this industry is writing about the new trends in pet health through better pet food.
Lately I have been seeing more and more companies making healthy food for dogs and cats, claiming better digestion and health overall.
Not too different from the recent trends for their human counterparts, focusing on healthy diets.
The Pet industry definitely ranks near the top when it comes to affiliate niches and opportunities, easily in the Top 10 overall.
