Walmart Affiliate Program Review: 4% Commission Rate (2023)

Good idea, as Walmart generated a whopping $572 Billion in 2022 alone, with more than 230 million WEEKLY customers! Also good news for affiliates, Walmart's online ecommerce sales increased by a whopping 74% during the pandemic. That surely helps to catch up at least a little to their main competitor, Amazon.

Walmart has an influencer program called "Walmart Creator" on their website. My personal experience and thoughts on Walmart affiliate program
I think the Walmart affiliate program is a valid contender to Amazon Associates, which long has been pretty much the top affiliate program in the world since its inception.
The benefit as an affiliate, is that you can offer multiple affiliate links for a single product or on a single page, so you can give your readers and visitors now the option to choose.
My only knock on the Walmart program is the commission rate seems a bit on the lower side depending on category, but probably in line with Amazon Associates for many items.
The 3-day cookie window is actually a surprisingly big advantage over Amazon's 24-hour cookie, giving you an extra 2 days where your cookie is active and can qualify for a sale.
Another contender that rounds out the "Top 3" in my mind is Target, offering up to an 8% commission rate with an even longer 7-day cookie window!
Overall, it doesn't hurt to add Walmart links to your content and simply make a better experience for your readers by giving them options to choose from.
