What are the requirements to get approved as a Spotify affiliate?
Since the Spotify affiliate program is on the Sovrn Commerce network, you will first need to get approved into the network before you can even apply to the individual program.
You will need a live, functioning website with a custom domain in order to get approved into the Sovrn Commerce network. Here is who they typically work with:
Bloggers (especially in the Music and Audio niche)
Social Media Influencers (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok)
Content Creators
Media
Editorial publications
Once you get a Sovrn Commerce account, you can search up "Spotify" within the Advertiser directory and then click "Apply Now" to send in an application.
To increase your chances of getting approved, I recommend having a professional website or blog in a relevant niche. In this case, that would be music.

My personal experience and thoughts on the Spotify affiliate program
As an affiliate with over 10 years of industry experience, here are my thoughts on Spotify.
Spotify is an extremely popular and beloved music streaming platform.
It arguably changed the game and perhaps the business model when it came to how people consumed music.
Before, you had to buy albums and individual songs on iTunes.
These days, you pay around $10.99/month, and get unlimited access to virtually all albums and songs instantly.
This wasn't possible before cellular data networks got fast enough, and cheap enough, for millions of people to downloads GBs worth of songs/movies from practically anywhere in the world.
Spotify's affiliate program is decently attractive, $7 commission is a lot better than super low ticket items that net a commission of only a dollar or less.
Factor in a very long 45-day cookie window, which is a nice plus.
Overall, I recommend joining it especially if you do happen to be in the music niche.
There is also an affiliate program for Apple Music, which is one of their biggest competitors.
I've written about many other affiliate programs below, and I highly recommend you check those out next!
